We were told that Nilaveli was not a good place for diving, that no school had good equipment, therefore we were hesitating to dive. We visit a couple of places which we didn't like (they looks more travel agencies than diving schools) and finally we arrive to AQUACREED.
This school is young yet, although the instructors (both Europeans) have lots of experience. Equipment is in excellent conditions, very well maintain (almost new), installations and training material are excellent as well, everything is new actually.
The instructors were really nice and patient, and the most important, their teaching skills are top, which makes you feel very comfortable and secure under water.
I went with my wife, who is not very skilled at swimming. When we were about to start she almost panic, but thanks to them, she was able to make a couple of long dives. It was great.
I did four dives with them, and started the advance course. We were lucky to spot many types of fishes, including dolphins.
We both enjoyed the time we dived with them, and of course, the non diving time ;).
Information for other divers:
The diving season starts in April. At that time water temperature is very warm (30degC) and visibility is medium 10 to 20 meter depending on the currents and depth.
