Fantastic place to learn to dive.

Beautiful setting, fantastic and very experienced instructors, and brilliant attitude/vibe from everyone there. Chumpon Pinnicle and Sail Rock are incredible dives, and the other sites, while not quite as impressive, are ideal for teaching new divers. Great set-up with the free/very cheap accom on dive days. Highly recommended, and I'm planning on returning in the near future to do my Divemasters.

Great Experience with great Instructors

Would highly recommend this resort to any diver at any level. It's a great place to learn scuba diving, or continue with your scuba diving education and courses. Also great for Fun Dives!!! All of the instructors are professional, considerate, and will enhance your scuba diving experiences. I did training with Iain Goodfellow, Nick Bufton, and Annemarie Morak. All of them were amazing and look forward to diving with Big Blue again!

Amazing place to do your Open Water

Amazing value, good dorms, great dive sites. Big into looking after the island too, which I liked. Boz was a great instructor, made sure we knew our stuff, and was a lot of fun to spend the week with learning to dive and living the Nug Life. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Value for money with amazing instructors

Great value for money, the free form accommodation was clean and right on the beach.

The dive sites were wicked, away from others so there weren't hundreds of people.

I had never dived before, but Boz our instructor was brill, easy to get along which made learning everything so much easier, and more than happy to go over everything again if you needed, so if you're worried about not picking anything up quickly or feel nervous, don't!

Nugget, his noble steed gave him extra cool points.

Have already recommended to friends..

A start of a new chapter...

Came here to big blue koh tao to do my instructor course since I know how many students they certify here so I'm well aware of the great experience these instructors have. And they didn't let me down, great professionalism and a lot of good advice and help through out the whole course. And I'm now doing an internship with one experienced instructor as a mentor helping me how to get in to teaching and what I should think about to make me as good instructor as possible and it's verry useful to get hints and tips from someone experienced when you are all "fresh" yourself. Really enjoying my time here and would warmly recommend big blue, especially for DM and ITC courses.

So much fun!

After checking several diveshops on the island we had the best gut feeling with Big Blue (mainly because of the funny salespitch of Steve-O at their shop in Sairee). And we were right...we ended up with an amazing instructor (Big Ant) who introduced us to the underwater world of Koh Tao. After our open water, we even decided to do our advanced, which was given by Big Ant as well. All in all we had an amazing experience at big blue. Nice people, nice facilities, a nice boat, everything was perfect :)

Best time in Thailand

The dives were amazing, the instructor was great and the marine life was abundant. They guide you through it all the way and very professionally (with a bit of humor). It is also cheap with the best equipment and decent accommodation. I'm so glad I did my open water and advanced here. Now I can use it in Australia and save some money. Great experience and maybe someday I'll be back for more!

Big Blue Family

Although big blue is the biggest SSI divecenter in the world, you will get an amazing vibe with them! I've been a Divemaster trainee at big blue for about 3 months and yeah what can i say... It was the best Time of my life! I felt like being a part of the Big Blue family! Now, back in Germany, I really miss them! Kudos to Steve-o, in my opinion, the best manager ever! Never seen a boss being so daddy like with his employees! Thank you for everything, we'll see us back very soon!

Cheers

Highlight of my trip

Koh Tao is one of Thailands most beatiful Islands. It's such a vibrant place with a exciting mix of people of different ages and different experiences.
Big Blue was however the highlight. The diving in Koh Tao is spectacular there is so much to see over lots of different sites. And the team at big blue are ao proffessiional but great fun. There was always a group of people to sit at the bar with until late at night or people chilling by the beach during day.
Big Blue is such a magical place.

Amazing diveing

Best part was that we tried to be at the divesites before everyone else. That gave better dives even if the mornings got early.
I would like it if there was some sort of guide to what fish we could see. Even if our instructor talked about it after the dive I was always a bit tired after being on the boat so I couldnt make use of the information. If there was some sort of pamphlet or just a simple list where i could check of the fish would have been nice. Now I mainly remember the big baracuda, which was awesome but not the only amazing thing i got to see.
So basically, everything was amazing. Hope to be back soon!
