Firstly, I cannot recommend this place enough! Me and my two friends I was travelling with had the most amazing and memorable time here, and if you want to learn how to dive somewhere affordable, yet surrounded by great company, a wonderful atmosphere and with incredible dive sites this is the place to go. We had initially planned to only do the Open Water course, but we ended up staying to complete our advanced too, and it was all extremely worth it. Accommodation for divers is free (make sure you book in advance), comfortable and clean. Food is nice but quite pricey, so if you are on a budget I'd recommend heading out to the town for meals. Our instructor (Ernesto) was brilliant. Not only was he so much fun but obviously very good and passionate about his job. He made us feel extremely safe and was so encouraging when my friend was ill on one of the dives... So shout out to Ernesto for being great! The dives we went on were breathtaking, and during one dive we stayed underwater for nearly an hour which was fantastic. The only very small little bit of criticism I have is about how the videographer dealt with selling the DVD of the final dives at the end of the Open Water course... It was very well made but I'd recommend having one fixed price to save any uncomfortable negotiation which seemed really out of place in this wonderfully relaxed dive resort. However, safe to say all three of us plan to continue diving in the future (hopefully a lot) and if I ever return to Thailand I will definitely be stopping off at Big Blue.
