Pick the Winners

I have been training and diving with Big blue Koh Tao on and off for about a year now.

I have also tried other outfits but I keep coming back to Big blue.

I feel safer because they are true professionals and I will even let my kids train and dive with them.

They are worth every penny

Neal was an amazing instructor, such a kind patient man. I was terrified and he really put me.at ease. The dive sites were beautiful. So happy I came to Koh Tao to dive!

Great diving but alternative accommodation was poor

The diving was excellent and the DMs were great. However, when I booked a private, fan room and heated shower, and this was not available when I arrived, I was placed in an alternative accommodation - the AJP hotel. The room was not at all nice - the bed didn't feel like it had clean sheets, there was not even a sink in the bathroom. This does not reflect well on Big Blue if this is a recommended alternative accommodation. I was glad to move out to one of BB's own private, fan room even though this had no heated shower. At least this had obviously clean sheets and a sink.

Finally, the cost of the all day trip (3 dives, breakfast, lunch 3800THB) seemed quite steep compared to the half day trips (about 1400 THB). And it didn't count towards the number of dives (and therefore the final cost of the dives) I did during the week.

Small classes and helpful guides

I was glad to see the class sizes were small, despite the many people you'll see working at Big Blue 1 and 2. Great place to learn to dive and to fun dive as well. Free dorms are a great asset. Definitely a party vibe here, but you don't have to partake.

Thanks for the great time Big Blue, and thanks Tom for being an awesome instructor. I've been telling everyone I know about my experiences at Big Blue and told them if they want to dive Koh Tao, to do it with you guys.

Fantastic experience

I did the open water and advanced courses with Big Blue and absolutely loved it. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. A fab group of people to dive with and a great instructor (Steve-o). We couldn't have asked for a better instructor! What a guy! He kept us calm and kept us working well as a group underwater. As a result there weren't any problems. We saw some amazing creatures, especially on the deep dive at Chumporn pinnacle. I am so glad we chose to do our courses with Big Blue and I have recommended to everyone along our travels.

Thanks Big Blue!!

Diving with Big Blue - Why not?

You are going to Koh Tao?

I strongly recommend diving with Big Blue. A good place to stay, even if you're travelling alone as an backpacker. The atmosphere is amazing. All The staff/diving instructors are friendly and very helpful. Many people from all over the world are there. It's easy there to make new friends.

Also the diving is amazing. By the way: Thank you "Big Ant", it was a pleasure to got teached by you!

Friendly and professional

I really enjoyed my divings there, it really was a wonderful place. I stayed in the free dorm which was really simple but all I needed was just a bed and a shower so it was perfect for me. They had good prices and you just pay at the end depending on the dives that you did, so you can decide every day if you want to dive or not. The staff were really professional, helpful, funny and really friendly. Also, I did a free cleaning dive, which consisted in collecting garbage in the see and it was really fun! I would definitely come back in Big Blue Diving the next time I go to Thailand again!

Safety First

Every time I tell someone I got scuba certified in Thailand I get asked if it was safe. Yep, totally fine. The staff were responsible, and clear and thorough with their explanations. The gear was properly maintained. Nothing sketchy. (It was fun too!)

THE TIME OF MY LIFE!

I can not speak higher of my experience at Big Blue!

I travelled to Koh Tao on my own after a week in Koh Samui with friends. The ease of being collected at the pier, following by a friendly hello & intro to the resort. The greatest thing about Big Blue and travelling alone is that from Day 01 of your course you are set up with at least 15 new friends who you will continue to have the most inspiring and straight out FUN with while you learn to dive!

I had booked a private room, but did actually spend a night in the free share accommodation - which I have no complaints about!

My instructor was Neil, he was amazing. Someone so funny, but so trusting - a great core strength of all the instructors.

Just do it - that is all I can tell you! But be warned.... you may never leave Koh Tao.

Amazing experience with a top instructor

Diving with Big Blue was one of the best decisions I made whilst travelling in Thailand. I was doing my advanced open water course with Matt Waters who was a top guy and a top instructor. The diving was great, everyone at the dive centre was helpful and the atmosphere around the centre was good. Will definitely visit again.
