I had scuba diving written on my bucket list but was actually really scared of giving it a go, the idea of being in charge of my own life with scary apparatus was a bit much.
I hadn't even planned on doing any diving except that my friend was thinking about it and before I knew I'd signed up.
I had also heard that Big blue were one of the better operators mainly due to never having more than 5? I think in a group, thus the instructor being able to give you more attention.
I'm not sure whether it was intentional or not but it seemed all members of our group were quite nervous, unfortunately 2 people had to drop out so we were left with just 3 as well as the trainee dive master and are amazing instructor Addy.
There was more than one occasion when I or another member of the group had a bit of a freak out and thought and had decided we were going up, however Addy really knew how to calm us down and help us get through the course.
I'm so glad I did it and it was really worth doing the open water course, had I had more money I'd have gone on to do the deep water as well like nearly everyone else in my group and the others did.
I would definitely recommend diving with big blue and although I only had one instructor and it's maybe unfair to judge, Addy really was brilliant. Always giddy and friendly and knew exactly what to do when we freaked out. Thank you so much :D
