Professional, safe, interesting

I was impressed of the professionalism and enthusiasm of dive masters. I did 12 fun dives on March with Big Blue. All dives was well guided with safe procedures. Guides know what to show and how to point it. Very well organised

As a instructor I also watched sometimes instructors in action (theory and on the beach only) and also asked some begginer firends who did the course. All of them did enjoy.

It is highly recomended place for people who want to start adventure with diving.

For affordable price (cheapest in the world) you will get free accommodation and unforgettable memories

One off the bucket list

I had scuba diving written on my bucket list but was actually really scared of giving it a go, the idea of being in charge of my own life with scary apparatus was a bit much.

I hadn't even planned on doing any diving except that my friend was thinking about it and before I knew I'd signed up.

I had also heard that Big blue were one of the better operators mainly due to never having more than 5? I think in a group, thus the instructor being able to give you more attention.

I'm not sure whether it was intentional or not but it seemed all members of our group were quite nervous, unfortunately 2 people had to drop out so we were left with just 3 as well as the trainee dive master and are amazing instructor Addy.

There was more than one occasion when I or another member of the group had a bit of a freak out and thought and had decided we were going up, however Addy really knew how to calm us down and help us get through the course.

I'm so glad I did it and it was really worth doing the open water course, had I had more money I'd have gone on to do the deep water as well like nearly everyone else in my group and the others did.

I would definitely recommend diving with big blue and although I only had one instructor and it's maybe unfair to judge, Addy really was brilliant. Always giddy and friendly and knew exactly what to do when we freaked out. Thank you so much :D

Professional diving instructors, responsible diving

The diving instructors all spoke English very well s o there were no issues in communication.

Furthermore they had very good and clean equipment and also emphasised the importance of the environmental impact of commercial diving and avoid damaging of divers and dive site.

I can very much recommend the basic diving course if you have never dived before. You will spend one afternoon in the classroom and have a test the next day but the dives are amazing and by the end you will be a fully qualified open water diver.

Great budget instruction

Great bargain for certification, especially with discounted accommodation. Very professional. The dives from Koh Tao don't compare to Suri and Similan, so I'd recommend get open water certification and book a live aboard for advanced open water.

AMAZINGGGGGG

I absolutely loved every second of my experience at Big Blue. It was amazing. Chris Cherry was a really really good instructor, he put everyone at ease and helped when we struggled. He made it so much fun too. Big Blue was amazing, the open water and advanced course, the accommodation, the food, the bar. Everything! I have already recommended it to quite a few people! Thanks so much for making it an incredible experience :)

Brilliant experience!

Had a really unforgettable experience at big blue. I've never scuba dived in my entire life and if I'm being honest I didn't know there was such a thing as a dive 'resort.' It has a real community feel to it, like a mini uni campus. Lively bar and beach front area. Friendly, knowledgable staff. Our dive instructor, a young girl called Kat, was so good at her job. Only thing that isn't 5 star about big blue is the accommodation. It served our purpose fine, pretty much the standard we had been used to throughout thailand. But just to manage expectations if your not a regular backpacker don't expect 5star. But it's safe, fun and well worth every penny :)

Awesome Freediving courses and training!

I did my level 1 freediving course in january at Big Blue. The instructors were very friendly, professional and gave excellent training and instruction! I felt very comfortable with them and they gave me great confidence in my abilities. I loved the course and the staff and really enjoyed what has been the start of my new passion for freediving. I returned to Koh Tao a couple of months later to do a weeks training to practice and conslidate the skills I had learnt. I had a fantastic week training with Flavia, Pepe and Rackel! i got new PBs and they helped me to improve my technique! I since went on to my level 2 and I will be back soon to train with them again! I would definatley reccommend freediving with Big Blue!!

Wow

I was very nervous and even unsure ehether I would even like diving, how wrong was I? Everything was explained well and I felt looked after at every moment. My diving instructor was great, fun, informative and relaxed. She really took care of me too.

I loved it and bought the t-shirt (literally)

great experience

It was the best decision to do my Open Water license at Big Blue Diving. The instructor was caring and very helpful in all situations and the small group of 8 people was the perfect size. We had a lot of fun together and experienced breathtaking moments in the sea. I would highly recommend Big Blue Diving on Ko Tao to anyone who is looking for safe diving at beautiful sites and nice, caring instructors.

Fantastic time

Really enjoyed my time at big blue, my instructor matt was brilliant.

The only downside was waking up early one day that sucked. I will be coming back in January to do my advanced diving. Thanks

He'll Yeah !

Big Blue was a great introduction into Kho Tao ... Diving was fun !

The diving tourism industry in the Island is a little to crowded ... At least for us ... We are used to different scenarios.

Thanks for everything !

Awesome time

My boyfriend and me spent six days with Big Blue Diving and did our Open Water Diver and our Advanced Adventurer. It was a lot of fun. Our instructors Amy and Molly were really helpful, explained everything well and we had a lot of fun under water exploring the under water world :)

Highlight was seeing a turtle during our nightdive and playing with a cracked egg at a depth of 28m :)

Excellent staff good fun

I Did the whole diving after full moon party thing on Koh Tao and chose big blue based on other good reviews. Now I'm writing my own.I stayed in free dorms (solo traveller) which was fine; met some decent people and it was free from bed bug and cockroaches which I heard about some places (its also free so don't expect the Ritz). Stella was my teacher who was really relaxed and taught us theory and practical easy. Equipment was decent and upkept. Boats I went on were good with complementary biscuits, tea, coffee, and fruit. Dive sites were mostly good but due to large number of dive schools corals were not the brightest but big blue does have a conservation scheme to try do their part. They produce a DVD for you if you do the open water license thing its a bit pricey but best way to capture the memory. I left this DVD behind by accident and Wayne was good enough to post it out to my home in England, London which is super awesome and appreciated.
