Awesome!

Our plan was to stay 5 days at koh tao. After the first dive we realized it was going to be epic! Got Rich as our instructor, great knowledge and alot of entusiasm. Ended up staying 12 days, did the advanced adventurer. Learned alot and now im planning to continue diving. Have nothing bad to say about big blue at all. Great staff, great bar, good equipment. Im pretty sure i'll be back in a year or two!

PS. Ask for Rich.

Best regards, Albin

Friendly, fun and a beautiful experience!

I ended up staying in Koh Tao over a week and went on to do an Advanced SSI license which I definitely didn't plan on! Koh Tao is very beautiful and the instructors were fun. The vibe of the dive school is relaxed, but you feel very well-looked after. diving groups are small so there is no lack of attention. I'd recommend it to anyone.

busy but competent

It's a bit of a "dive factory" shuttling many dozens of divers on and off the dive spots, but I think that's the nature of diving at Koh Tao. The divemaster I was assigned to was very competent and helpful. Irrespective of the poor visibility when I was there, there were some nice things underwater but not spectacular compared to some other places. Because they take care of you, Big Blue is probably a good operation for beginning divers, or if you're in Koh Tao for other reasons, but I'd suggest that experienced divers spend their money on more impressive sites like the Surin Islands or Komodo National Park.

An excellent experience

Big Blue Diving was one of the best experiences that I had in Thailand. All the staff and people there were really friendly and helpful! And my teacher was awesome, really patient.

Good, but chaotic

I Went there in middle of december, i booked a fun package With allot of dives, and a complimentary t-shirt.

The dives Went good and With friendly and good dive Masters.

i booked a single room, just because i wanted my privacy, room was Nice and suites my needs great.

The surroundings was perfect, and good contact With the People around.

But when i checked out, its was Quick. And they all just added my dives, and everything. And where was my t-shirt? And the prize was suddenly different. I didnt have time to complain there, because i was in a rush for the ferry. Seemed Like they havent the view of what People ordered and what they Will pay. They Said i saved 2000 something bath, and the t-shirt.. But that i didnt.

So an advice check there packages, man make sure u have time to complain if its not properly.

Just sad i didnt.

Friendly and professional

Big Blue was a great place, me and my friend got received so well and taken care of. We did our open water in a group of five students and we had the most amazing time. We were well prepared for every step, our instructor repeated everything we had to know several times so we would feel safe. Me and my friend was a little bit scared in the beginning and through the course but since the course had such a good layout, taking everything step by step, never letting us go in the water, we felt very safe. And it wasn't scary at all. The dive center has two very nice bars along the beach where everyone hang out in the evening doing their homework or celebrating their certificate. The atmosphere on the whole island is all about diving, it's great.

level 1 and 2

I really liked the open water. The instructor was really patient and professional and with a slalom group it was perfect. The instructor was vert free for us it's very important for me.

For the advanced course i was a bit desapointed, the instructor was there only for the lessons that's all. But she was really professional as well, she often asked if everything is ok and she always did something for the students, everything. I was sick for the level 2 and she really talent care of me and explain again if i was confused.

the only thing that made me in trouble it was the others divers in my group. Rhétorique didn't respect some rules of diving, like stay with the buddy, and dived like a group of sheeps. And the instructor didn't said anything about that ! That was really uncomfortable and stressfull to dive for me and specialy the night dive. A diver in front, behind, on left, on right., below and above !!! So i think it could be better to relearn something when it's like that. But exept that i really enjoyed the club and diving in the Big blue. Thanks a lot.

Loved Every Minute of It

I had a great experience with Big Blue Diving. We were travelling through Asia and had a plan to get our open water license in Koh Tao. We decided to go with Big Blue. Our open water instructor was Ant and he was awesome. He was very helpful and explained everything so well. I felt very safe and comfortable having him as our instructor. My friends and I enjoyed our open water so much that we went straight onto do our advanced course with Big Blue. Our instructor for the advanced was Sofia and she was equally as helpful. All the staff in BIg Blue were very welcoming and so easy to approach. The only downside to the whole experience was the visability. Not Big Blue's fault but the visability around Christmas time was really bad for us. Some dives were ok but others (the night dive) were really not great. I would recommend Big Blue (and I have been through the rest of my travels)

Big Blue was recommended to us from quite a few people. We completed out Advanced Adventurer course with them and had a great time. We'd recommend Big Blue to others going to Koh Tao.

Best thing ive done in my whole trip

Doing my open water course with big blue was the most amazing thing I'd done in my 6months of travelling... until I did my advanced course also with big blue two days later!!! Unreal instructors Ant and Sophia... great accomodation and lovely atmosphere... not to mention a beautifully stunning island. Would thoroughly recommend big blue, I had such a great week and cant wait to go back :)
