We were recommended to go to Big Blue to learn to dive by a friend we met on our travels. We went, we saw, we loved it. Never been to a dive school before but were massively impressed by the warm, laid back but efficient communication before we got there and the equally warm welcome when we arrived. Our instructor Stevo was the poor guy who had to put up with us and my slow learning ability and was an absolute gem. We hit if off from the start and the banter flowed. The Open Water course was duly completed with a great set of team mates and we moved on in Thailand, only to come back 5 weeks later to do the Advanced course. The second time we came back we felt instantly as if we were at home again amongst friends and family. The diving is wonderful of course and seeing Whale Sharks is the cherry on the top of a delicious cake. I had full confidence in all aspects of the operation. I knew my instructor would be there if I had a problem, and the care and maintenance of the kit was exemplary (I've been elsewhere since and been let down by the kit on a number of dives) . After the diving there is the relaxed atmosphere of the bar and restaurant to celebrate our achievements. Would I recommend Big Blue? Absolutely and 100%.
