brilliant holiday

We had a wonderful time on Palau siren. For 10 days we were looked after very well by the helpful and friendly team working on the boat. Having had holidays on other liveaboard boats I was struck by HOW well the team work together genuinely no job was too small for any of them with everyone helping out everywhere to make our trip as perfect as possible and going out their way to make us and each other smile. (For example being welcomed back on the boat each time by captain Jack and having my socks washed by the cruise director! ) I would struggle to think of ways our experience could have been improved, however one of my travel companions felt the toilet roll holders could be easier to use and i agree sometimes it was difficult to get more than sheet at a time. The diving was exceptional. Diving with the guides took any stress away, everything seemed so laid back. Following Chris I went to places I would not have expected to calmly go - inside rooms in wrecks and inside caves and loved it! When diving with hooks in current I had no worries with Inal directing me. Jordan made everyone laugh above and under water all the time and was extra patient giving me time to get to depth with sore ears. During the trip we saw pretty anemones, loads of wonderful fish, an octopus, turtles, a sea snack in the sea, eagle rays and a manta and lots and lots of sharks! Oh and our guide pointed out a white tropical long tailed bird in the sky.

Fabulous trip...best diving ever.

Everything about the Palau Siren was very high quality and extremely well organized. Dive sites were well chosen to fit the tide and current, briefings were comprehensive and informative, everything was punctual, and the crew were especially kind and helpful, with our gear always where it needed to be. Food was excellent, with exceptional variety, always two salads and a vegetable dish, and a roast turkey was memorable. Chris, the Tour Leader, was especially notable for his attention to detail and his kindness. Overall a very wonderful trip.

Getting to Palau is less fun, as we had to fly from Bangkok to Manila to Guam (?) to Palau, and reverse the route to return home. Flights between Manila and Palau were very expensive, thus United miles were very useful.

Wonderful trip. And free beer is always good for the mood.

crew with hearts to customers

Very good service. Staff working with hearts and desire to excel. Some shortcomings on boat like the compressor failure.
Meals cooking very good, but ingredient quality can be improved. Better wine selection needed.
Chris, Bacon, and the dive quids are professional and made every effort to make the dives interesting and safe. Matt and Richard are very knowledgeable and gave me the best drift dives and blackwater experience.
I also have a fantastic birthday celebration on board by the crew.

Could be better if there is less mechanical issues

While I think all crew have done their best to deal with all the unexpected issue, the break-Down of compressor is very much irritating which results in longer speed boat ride to dive site. This has defeated the main advantage of liveaboard. It would be better if we can have more hooks inside our cabins.

great trip

We had a wonderful trip for group of 10. Food was great, drinking water did not taste good at all. That could be improved on. Cŕew, dive guides and Chris were alll great. I am not sure what the issue was wit the h the way the system measures the internet usage but before we left home we monitored our wifi data usage for our normal use. What we used should have been 10% of our normal usage but we went through the package we purchased even though we were being ultra conservative. Not sure why. Very ďissapointing especially for the cost of the package.. other than thr two issues the trip was amazing, the boat was great, the crew was great and the food was awesome. Oh yes and Jo, did a great job with my massage. Thank you palau siren for making our Trip of a lifetime 2017 a success!

wonderful trip

Staff very kind and seem to anticipate any needs even before being asked. Food was delicious with generous portions. Dive masters well versed in dive sites and general history of Palau. Chris gave informative dive briefings and answered all questions. The behind the scenes staff was always polite and helpful.

An amazing adventure

This was my first time to do a scuba dive liveaboard. I basically was looking to go to Palau and after reading a few hotel reviews I keep seeing the word liveaboard. When I googled "liveaboard" I quickly came to Palau Siren. I'm so glad I did. This boat and it's crew are amazing. Everyone is so friendly and professional. They really know their stuff. This week focused on the wreck dives in the area which came with detailed briefings before the dives. We learned about the boats, the battle in War War II, and the current dive sites. Both Richard and Matt, from uniquedivexpeditions, were very well informed. I had never been diving in Palau and was blowed away at the abundance of life in the water. We saw sharks, eels, manta rays, eagle rays, turtles and so many different species of fish. I was able to go into caverns, down ocean walls, through strong currents and explore the ocean at night. The staff assisted me with everything I needed from a reef hook to an electric plug converter (the one I brought was the wrong kind). The food was fantastic. If I hadn't been diving throughout the day I would have surely gained 10 pounds.

minor changes could make the boat even better

Get rid of the TVs in the cabins and add more space for clothing.

A clothes line in the bath for hanging up wet clothing.

If the Peleliu Cut or Express dive sites are so great why did we only dive them once?

Everything else was perfect and especially the entire crew.

Siren trip December 2016

Had a great experience. Two thoughts:
- Would have been good to have shorter dive briefings, or have them on the skiff once conditions were observed on site.
- Was a bit dismayed that the Diver Rescue Device was a "pay extra for it" option. That sends a "safety costs you extra" message to the divers.
- Would have been great to shuffle dive groups (not great always diving with the same people all week).

The best!

Just about everything was first rate _- the vessel, the friendly crew, the dive briefings, the dives themselves, the food, the attention lavished on us by the crew and. Their attention to every detail.. The steps going downstairs were tough to negotiate and the floors dangerously slippery when wet and almost impossible to keep dry.
